The Glasbern Farm

The rolling grounds of the Glasbern Inn are the jewel of the Lehigh Valley. Our finely landscaped flowers bloom seasonally, and their bright colors happily greet guests when they arrive.

Rich smells from our various gardens will fill your senses no matter where you walk. The fruits and vegetables grown on premises grace the delectable dishes we serve in our very own kitchens.

The Glasbern Inn was originally built as a family farm in the 1800s. Today it maintains its 19th century charm as one of the best restaurants and inns in the United States. No traffic noise, no jarring horn blasts, no busy commuters, just peace and quiet and ever wild beyond the windows.

The Glasbern Farm takes a sustainable, environmentally friendly, natural and humane approach to farming. We have a working  farm with sustainably grown fruits and vegetables, and a livestock farm with Scottish Highland cattle, Katahdin sheep, pigs, chickens, Pekin ducks and turkeys. Finished on grass, all of our animals live a hormone and antibiotic free lifestyle while they are cycled through pastures enjoying the wild grasses grown without artificial or chemical intervention.

What is Farm to Table?

Industrial agriculture has made food inexpensive, but large-scale farming has hidden costs, pushing our natural systems to the limit. Agricultural chemicals pollute our water and find their way into our food as carcinogens. Our soil loses fertility and our water supplies dwindle.

“Farm to Table” means supporting local, organic, and natural farms and producers. It means that a great meal starts with great ingredients, and great ingredients come from local sources.
